The bride flings the wedding bouquet over her head to the girls behind her. Most of her friends will excitedly try to snatch the bouquet as it flies through the air. Traditionally, the bouquet now becomes a symbolic predictor of the next bride-to-be. When a girl catches the bouquet the others will offer congratulations. Even though there is no proof that this is true, the one which catches it trusts in the power of the bouquet.
